OnePlus appears to have teased its next flagship after a group photo from this weekend’s 2025 Peace Elite League Summer Finals in China circulated online, showing e‑sports champions gathered around a previously unseen device that leaks identify as the OnePlus 15.
Design and colours
The leaked image shows a redesigned rear with a squarish camera island. Two primary sensors sit in a pill‑shaped module, while a third camera and an LED flash are positioned separately within the island — a layout observers say resembles the OnePlus 13s and marks a return from the circular camera ring used for the past three generations. Prior rumours pointed to purple, titanium, and black finishes; the new photo reveals a bold white colourway.
Expected hardware
Early leaks and industry rumour place the OnePlus 15 among the first Android flagships to adopt Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. The handset is reported to feature a 6.78‑inch LTPO display with a 165Hz refresh rate and a 1.5K resolution, down from the OnePlus 13’s QHD+ panel.
Battery claims circulating online state a 7000 mAh capacity with support for 120W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. Camera specifications circulating alongside the design leak indicate a 50MP triple camera system including a telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom.
Software and imaging
Unlike recent OnePlus models that carried Hasselblad branding, the OnePlus 15 is tipped to use an in‑house imaging engine dubbed DetailMax Engine. The device is expected to ship on OxygenOS 16 based on Android 16, though OnePlus’s China variant may continue to use ColorOS.
Context and timing
OnePlus launched the 13 and 13R earlier this year in January; both ran Android 15‑based OxygenOS 15, shared triple 50MP camera hardware on the 13, and included large batteries with up to 50W wireless charging. The company also introduced magnetic accessories for the series, including a 5000 mAh wireless power bank, a 50W magnetic charger, and a sandstone magnetic case.
With the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 set to debut later this month and the OnePlus 15 rumoured for a release later this year, more official details from OnePlus are expected in the coming months.
