Lava Agni 4 teased with horizontal dual‑camera and hints a massive 7000 mAh battery

Lava has begun teasing the Agni 4 as the successor to the Agni 3 5G, confirming a new rear design and fuelling rumours of a much larger battery as the handset heads for an India launch in November.

Teaser confirms horizontal pill camera and no rear secondary display

A promotional image shared by Lava on X shows the Agni 4 with a horizontal pill‑shaped camera island housing two sensors and a dual‑LED flash above them, with the “AGNI” logo placed between the lenses. The design resembles the optics arrangement seen on some recent rivals and notably omits the secondary rear display that was a highlight of the Agni 3.

Certification listing points to 7000 mAh battery

A device believed to be the Agni 4 has appeared on the IECEE certification database under model number LBP1071A. The listing identifies a lithium‑polymer cell with a capacity of 7,000mAh, which would represent a substantial jump from the Agni 3’s 5,000mAh battery that supports 66W fast charging.

Expected specifications

Reports and leaks circulating alongside the teaser suggest the Agni 4 will target the midrange performance segment with the following expected specs:

  • Display: 6.78‑inch Full HD+ panel with 120Hz refresh rate.
  • Processor: MediaTek Dimensity 8350 built on a 4nm process.
  • Storage: UFS 4.0 onboard storage.
  • Cameras: Dual rear sensors likely to be two 50MP units, down from the three‑camera setup on the Agni 3 which included a 50MP primary, an 8MP telephoto and an 8MP ultrawide.

Timing and pricing

Lava has scheduled the Agni 4 for an India launch in November, though the exact date has not been announced. Market positioning appears to aim below Rs. 25,000, putting it above the Agni 3’s launch price of Rs. 20,999 for the 8GB + 128GB variant while still remaining competitive in the midrange segment.

What to watch for next

Official confirmation from Lava on the launch date, final specifications, charging speed and pricing will settle open questions raised by the certification listing and early teasers. If the 7,000mAh battery and Dimensity 8350 platform are confirmed, the Agni 4 would aim to differentiate on battery life and efficiency rather than on a multi‑camera rear array.
