Oppo confirms global launch of Find X9 Series with MediaTek Dimensity 9500

Oppo has confirmed it will expand its smartphone lineup with a global launch of the Find X9 Series in the coming months, announcing key hardware and performance details ahead of the debut. The company says the new Find X9 Ultra model will be powered by MediaTek’s flagship Dimensity 9500 and will target high-end performance, efficiency, and advanced on-device AI features.

Processor and CPU architecture

The Find X9 Ultra will use MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500, built on a third-generation All-Big-Core CPU architecture. The chipset pairs one ultra-core clocked at 4.21 GHz with three premium cores and four performance cores. Oppo and MediaTek claim the configuration delivers up to 32% higher single-core performance and 17% higher multi-core performance compared with the previous generation, while reducing peak power consumption by as much as 55% to extend battery life.

Graphics and gaming capabilities

Graphics are handled by the new Arm G1-Ultra GPU, which Oppo says offers up to 33% higher graphics performance and 42% better power efficiency over its predecessor. The GPU supports console-grade ray tracing and is positioned to handle demanding, graphics-intensive mobile games and applications.

Trinity Engine and AI features

Oppo will integrate its proprietary Trinity Engine, described as Android’s first Unified Computing Power Model. The system enables cross-silicon computational modelling across CPU, GPU, and a dedicated DSU to predict and manage power consumption with better than 90% accuracy, allowing dynamic optimisation for gaming, imaging, and general use. MediaTek demonstrated the Dimensity 9500’s AI capabilities in real-time showcases, including image-to-image rendering, 4K text-to-image generation, and advanced graphics workflows using Unreal Engine technologies.

Thermal design and sustained performance

To keep performance stable during long gaming sessions, the Find X9 Ultra series will include a customised cooling solution designed to sustain high-frame-rate workloads while managing device temperatures and power draw.

What this means and timeline

Oppo’s collaboration with MediaTek for the Find X9 Series points to a flagship positioned around raw performance, on-device AI, and energy-efficient operation. The company has confirmed a global launch window in the coming months but has not yet provided a specific release date or pricing. Further technical and availability details are expected closer to the launch.
