Reliance Jio Down for 10+ cities: Users reported signal and internet issues
Reliance Jio’s network suddenly stopped working for thousands of people in Mumbai, Hyderabad, Delhi, Chennai, Gujarat, Bengaluru and some other cities on Sunday evening (July 6) around 8:10 PM. According to reports thousands of people faced signal and internet issues in these cities.
Phones showed blank signal bar or “Emergency Calls Only”. DownDetector received more than 11,000 complaints. 81% users reported that they are experiencing “No Signal” problem and other reported on mobile internet problem. JioFiber connections were also down in these areas.
Thousands of users called Jio’s customer service at the same time, so the service line crashed. Many users used social media to report their complain. Those who could talk to customer care, advised to restart their phones or on-off the aeroplane mode. But the advice didn’t work for the users. Jio hasn’t said anything on this matter yet.
This is the fourth time within a month that the Jio network is down. Previously on June 16 Jio was down in Kerala, on June 29 in Gujarat and on July 1 in Madhya Pradesh. As a compensation Jio gave 1GB free data to the effected users.
Why the outages are happening so frequently? We have to wait to see what Jio has to say about it.
