vivo today unveiled its new X300 series — the X300 and X300 Pro — as the company celebrates its 30th anniversary. Both phones put camera performance at the centre of their upgrades, introducing 200 MP ZEISS Ultra‑Clear Imaging and a suite of hardware and software improvements across photography, performance, battery, display, and software.
ZEISS cameras and major imaging upgrades
The X300 Pro debuts a 200 MP ZEISS APO Telephoto Camera with vivo’s upgraded Ultra‑Sensing Sensor HPB, complemented by a 50 MP ZEISS Gimbal‑Grade main camera using a large 1/1.28″ sensor and CIPA‑rated 5.5 stabilization for improved steadiness and clarity. vivo also introduced a new Pro Imaging Chip, the VS1, to speed image processing and reduce noise.
The standard X300 carries a 200 MP ZEISS main camera with the Ultra‑Sensing Sensor HPB and CIPA 4.5 stabilization, plus a ZEISS APO Telephoto Camera based on the LYT‑602 sensor that vivo says delivers higher dynamic range and lower power draw.
Both models upgrade the front camera to a 50 MP ZEISS wide‑angle sensor with autofocus and a high‑resolution portrait algorithm for sharper selfies, and are compatible with vivo’s ZEISS 2.35x Telephoto Extender Kit to extend telephoto capabilities and bokeh characteristics.
Video, creative tools, and pro features
vivo expanded video and creative tools across the lineup. The series supports 4K 120 fps Pro Video on both models, while the X300 Pro adds 4K 120 fps Dolby Vision and 4K 120 fps 10‑bit Log recording on both main and telephoto cameras for greater dynamic range and post‑production flexibility. The phones are also the first in the industry to support 4K 60 fps Portrait Video, vivo said.
New shooting modes include Stage Mode 2.0 with 4K Stage All‑in‑One Recording and Dual‑View Stage Video, AI Image Studio with One‑Shot Multi‑Crop and Live Photo Passerby Erase, and portrait improvements such as ZEISS Natural Portrait, Multi‑Focal HD Portrait, and Night Portrait. The X300 Pro adds telephoto‑focused features like 20x Long‑Range Motion Snapshot and Telephoto Flower & Bird Shots with ZEISS Mirotar Telephoto Style Bokeh.
OriginOS with AI and productivity features
OriginOS makes its global market debut alongside the X300 series. The new OS brings an updated Origin Design System, Origin Smooth Engine optimizations, and features like Flip Cards (gyroscope‑based lock‑screen interactions), Origin Island for contextual suggestions, and the vivo Office Kit for phone‑to‑PC mirroring and file transfer.
OriginOS also integrates AI Creation tools for rewriting, translation, summarization, and brainstorming, with added Google Gemini support for enhanced creativity and productivity. vivo announced a consolidated vivo Security framework and committed to 5 years of OS upgrades and 7 years of security maintenance for the X300 series.
Performance, battery and display
Both phones run on the Dimensity 9500, a platform co‑defined by vivo and MediaTek and built on TSMC’s N3P process, featuring an all‑big‑core CPU, a 12‑core G1‑Ultra GPU, and an efficient NPU. vivo pairs the Dimensity 9500 with its Imaging Chip V3+ for advanced computational photography and the company’s first 4K 60 fps cinematic portrait video capability.
Battery and charging are upgraded under vivo’s BlueVolt Battery System and Global Bypass Charging with intelligent thermal control. The X300 Pro houses a 6510 mAh battery and the X300 a 6040 mAh pack; both support 90W FlashCharge and wireless charging. Displays are 1.5K 8T LTPO panels with up to 2000 nits peak brightness and 2160Hz full‑range luminance PWM dimming to reduce eye strain. The series also includes IP68/IP69 dust and water resistance, reinforced or armor glass, 3D Ultrasonic Fingerprint Scanning 2.0, AI SuperLink for stable connections, and an efficient cooling system.
Design, sizes and colours
vivo describes the X300 family as a Unibody 3D Glass Design with a refined camera module and a coral velvet frosted glass finish option. The X300 is a compact 6.31‑inch flat display device weighing 190 g and measuring 7.95 mm thick, while the X300 Pro has a 6.78‑inch flat display in a 7.99 mm body.
Colour options for the X300 include Phantom Black, Mist Blue, Halo Pink, Iris Purple, and Summit Red. The X300 Pro retains Phantom Black, Mist Blue, and Cloud White, and adds Dune Brown.
Availability and positioning
vivo positions the X300 series as a flagship upgrade focused on imaging, performance, and sustained software support, aimed at users who want pro‑grade photo and video capabilities alongside long‑term device maintenance. Further details on regional pricing and availability were not included in vivo’s announcement.
